This was such a great piece, Joy! I remember thinking Diana was the epitome of grace, poise and gentleness. How meaningful that you were able to be at her memorial on such a day ❤️

Again, so beautifully written. I like to remember that there were two princesses that died that day. And the other kissed many frogs. Mother Theresa. And she not only cared for the dying but saved many babies.

I too remember the fairy tale princess of my childhood and then her death the summer after my college graduation.

We were just in London at the beginning of August (from the Midwest US), and walked by this statue as we headed from our hotel to the V&A. I tried to explain Princess Diana to my 10 year old daughter.

What you have written here is lovely.

It was really such a moment when she passed away, wasn't it? I remember that whole week after, just feeling a heaviness as if we'd all known her personally.
